Coolers are a GREAT way to use up fruits (or even veggies) that everyone says are "too ripe" to eat.
TIP: Do the prep work...cut everything, bananas, berries, pineapple, mangos, whatever you like...up and freeze flat in freezer bags..store bought bags can be pricy and this helps avoid waste as well. Also, think about putting in a cup or spinach to get a serving of veggies or avocado to make it creamier without adding in yogurt!
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen strawberries slices
1 cup frozen banana slices
1 to 1 1/2 cups plant based milk (oat, almond, or coconut all add different taste) TIP: More milk makes it into a shake vs less milk makes a sorbet
Toppings:
1/4 cup favourite low sugar granola
fresh fruit to garnish
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender or a NutriBullet and blend until a sorbet consistency is formed
Fill a glass and top with preferred toppings
Additional Toppings or Ingredient Ideas:
Blend in 1 cup spinach (I promise you won't taste it!)
Top with Chia seeds, toasted coconut slakes, chopped nuts
Blend in a serving size of of your favourite nut butter for extra protein
