The burger above is plant based! Of coarse you can still use hamburger
INGREDIENTS FOR 2 BURGERS:
Guac:
1 whole avocado
3 green onions chopped green stem and all!
3 generous tablespoons of hot or mild chilli peppers chopped (I use ones from a jar)
1/2 lime
salt/pepper
2 whole wheat buns
4 plant based (I use Bocca Burgers) or hamburger patties
Sliced tomatoes
Sriracha sauce
DIRESTIONS:
Cook/grill patties or hamburger accordingly
Meanwhile...
Smash up avocado in a bowl (I like to use a potato masher)
Add in chilies, onions, juice from lime and salt/pepper to taste....Mix well
Toast buns in pan or on a grill
Add sriracha on bottom bun
Add a patty
Guac
Tomatoes
A Patty
More sriracha on top bun
TIP:
If ya wanted to get crazy ya could add pepper jack cheese to the burger
Serve with a side salad, corn on the cob or grilled veggie for a great summer time lunch or dinner!
